A taste of 22nd century clubbing (with prices to match), Matter is more than just the most futuristic nightspot in London - it's the most advanced in the world, even putting Tokyo and Singapore to shame. The projection system is designed so that every inch of wall and ceiling can become a screen, the sound engineers have so much control that crystal clear treble and lethally powerful bass can be played from anywhere in the club, to anywhere in the club. And of course, it all comes from the people behind Fabric, which means a music policy based on brilliant residents hand-picked from Europe's underground, superbly programmed nights, and absolutely no landfill house. Two giant dancefloors, and loads of nooks and crannies are well-designed for a comfy clubbing experience, and the horrible impossibility of getting home from The O2 for most Londoners ensures that everyone here is in it for a proper all-nighter, and won't be leaving until the Tube is up and running again.
Due to "unfortunate circumstances" Matter has decided to close for the summer of 2010. As yet no date has been set for its reopening.
